Openning part contains :

  1. form a line according to the experience acting as scrum master
  2. form a cycle based on how much you concerned about this training
  3. then, form groups in maximum diversity, which promotes discussions among different opinions

It was also great that to have a Work Agreement for the whole course, and everybody helpped to obey those. Thumb voting could be used to check if everybody feels conformtable of those working agreements. Colleting expectations at the begining of training was helpful too, training structure and emphasis could be dynamically adjusted, which is actually agile 🙂

By recalling the memories when we felt full of energy, we listed the important factors which everybody wants in their work. For example : new things, challenge / interesting, motivation, etc.

Therefore, to establish such an environment, it requires us to understand correctly “What is power?”. Lack of power is the most popular excuse for things not done. The list got from audience is : authority; ability, get what you want; impact others; role, position; personality; reputation, trust; experience, knowledge; responsibility; networks; money; knowledge.

Finally, “how to facilitate the retrospective” by actually holding an retrospective for this Working With Self-Organized Teams training, what a tricky idea! Simply creating a timeline, gathering data, generate insights, blah blah blah …
